But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Children are the future of Cozaddale Baptist Temple. We are blessed to have a church with people of all ages including children. They are taught sound, Bible teaching in Sunday School, Church, and Super Kids Club. We do encourage parents to have their children sit with them as much as possible during our main services. This helps to promote a family atmosphere.
We have Sunday School classes for all ages of children. Newborn children to two years old are welcome to be in the nursery, where workers will care for and interact with them. We have classes for children ages two and three years old, four and five years old, and grades one through sixth.
We do have several junior churches that our children may also attend while the Sunday Morning service is going on. The younger children stay in their Sunday School class for junior church, while children in grades one through six may go to a combined junior church.
For the younger children, they sing songs, have crafts, and learn Bible lessons. For older children, the format is more like a regular church service, but geared towards them.
In the summer, the children have an opportunity to go to camp at Camp Cozaddale. Camp Cozaddale is a one-week (Monday-Thursday) day camp on our church grounds for ages four and up. Children enjoy crafts, age-appropriate activities, field trips, and receive sound, Bible teaching.
In addition to camp, we have a Kids Crusade in the summer. For three nights (usually in July), our bus routes and church children are invited for a service like no other. We meet in the auditorium and divide into three teams. The children sing songs, get candy, play games, learn a Bible verse, take up a penny offering, watch a skit, and hear sound, Bible preaching. They leave with prizes and a snack, but most importantly, they leave having heard the Word of God. We have seen many children accept Christ as their Savior.
